It's on Shabbat, not on Sunday

Sabbath

Sabbath (Shabbat) is clearly specify and explain in detail in the Torah, as you could see in:

Isaiah 58:13-14 If you turn away your foot from the sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words: Then shall you delight yourself in the LORD; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.
.

Sabbath is a day (24 hours) for having pleasure and delight on Elohim (God). In that case it is not a day for doing our delights, our things or having our pleasure. The day is to be dedicated to the LORD, no to us. In most congregations they only dedicate 2 hours top to be with Elohim, then everybody runs to do their own delights.

Leviticus 23:1-3 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, concerning the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. .

It clearly explain that we are to use 6 days of the week for all our personal things: work, relationships, travels, games and get out and enjoy ourselves. But we should dedicate a complete day to Elohim: the Sabbath. This is a holy convocation, together wih the Feasts of the LORD .

Even Yeshua said He is the Lord of the Sabbath in:

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

If Yeshua is the Lord of the Sabbath, but the sabbath as many said was abolished, then He is the Lord of "Nothing".

The fact is: Yeshua never abolished the sabbath. There is not a single verse on the whole Torah that states the change fron the sabbath (from sundown to sundown, friday to saturday) to sunday.

Even in the early church, the disciples of Yeshua follow the Sabbath and not sunday after his death. Luke 23:56 says:.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

They rested on the holy day of Elohim. They waited in anticipation to see the tumb of Yeshua (Jesus), but they never thought of going against the Sabbath. On Isaiah 66:22-23 the man of Elohim is predicting the end of the world and said :

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD..

It clearly states that is from Sabbath to Sabbath, not from sunday to sunday, at the end of times we all should worship the LORD on Sabbath .

Even in the prophesies given by Yeshua of the Destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in the year 70 after Christ, it said:
Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Our Lord knew that his disciples even after the year 70 will still be practicing sabbath. Through out the whole book of the Acts of the Apostles the early church went always to the sinagoge on sabbath and Paul practice all the Feasts of Elohim, including sabbath.

Then why are not doing it today as the disciples, Yeshua himself and Paul did?
Why are we practicing what men later decide by themselves to change instead of what Elohim wants us to do?

Yeshua is sill Lord of the Sabbath.

Daily Torah - Bible Verses

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

In these pages you will find how you and us as Messianic Jews- Nazarene following the whole Torah applying it to real life and live a successful and meaningful existence as observants of Torah, answering all our questions through it and through Yeshua the Messiah.

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
