How to Pray

In and through prayer we express our adoration, reverence, confession, thanksgiving, petitions, intercesion and supplications to Elohim . We open our soul, our inner being to the creator of all, expressing to Him our weakness and all our troubles

In prayer we have a personal experience of Elohims love. Elohim never stops loving us, not matter how sinfull we are. He is the only one capable of understanding our weakness and give us mercy and peace forever. That is why we should always direct our prayers to Elohim alone. To pray to others, being those saints, virgens or any other person death or alive is idolatry.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. (1 Peter 3:12)

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. (Psalm 5:3)

You shall remember that any prayers without compliying with all the Nitzvot of Elohim is not worth anything

How to pray

We have to approach Elohim with love, reverance, consideration for His will, sincerity, a thankfull and humble heart and an obediente actitude. Elohim ?s wisdom and mercy must be always assume and expected. Our prayers must have adoration, confesion of sins, thanksgiving, suplication for others and for the church, our petitions and finally thanks for His love and guidance.

But remember, we also have to come to the Eternal knowing we have comply with all his commandments, statutes and laws contained between Exodus 12 and Deuteronomy 34 as it says in:

Jos 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success".

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve Elohim acceptably with reverence and Elohim ly fear: (Hebrews 12:28)

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your equests be made known unto Elohim . (Philippians 4:5-7)

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (1 John 5:14-15)

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. (Psalm 63:3)

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. (Mark 1:35)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

We should always pray in the name of Yeshua , so that the Father may be glorified in the Son . Because without Yeshua Christ we can not do anything, even praying. Yeshua is our Mediator before Elohim , so we have confidence of what we can acomplished through Him.. And through the Holy Spirit we can pray to Elohim even if we do not know what to said at any given moment. The Spirit of Elohim will guide us in prayer.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14)

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of Elohim . (Romans 8:26-27)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:18)

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Yeshua the Son of Elohim , let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

In Luke 18:1-8 Yeshua talk His disciples how to persevered in prayer and no give up.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not Elohim , neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not Elohim , nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not Elohim avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:1-8)

Pray continually through the day for:

1.-Sick people: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (James 5:14-15)

2.-Rulers:
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all Elohim liness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Elohim our Saviour;(1 Timothy 2:1-3)

3.-More Christian Workers:
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38)

4.-Yourself:
Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation; That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance. (Psalm 106:4-5)

5.-For new christians:
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Yeshua .) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. (Acts 8:15-17)

6.-To know Elohim ?s will :
And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen (Acts 1:24)

7.-When in severe trouble:
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto Elohim : and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. (Acts 16:25)

Never pray for countries or places.

Where to pray?

In Private:
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions (Matthew 6:6-7)

If you pray privatly always do it in silence, do not speak any word. Let Elohim hear your inner thoughts and you will be bless abundantly. Try it, you will be amazed.

In Public (or with other people):
Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Yeshua lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. (John 11:41-42)

Daily Torah - Bible Verses

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

In these pages you will find how you and us as Messianic Jews- Nazarene following the whole Torah applying it to real life and live a successful and meaningful existence as observants of Torah, answering all our questions through it and through Yeshua the Messiah.

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
