Parenting from a Messianic Jewish prospective.

Messianic Parenting

Teach your children about what you believe

If we belive in the Allmighty Elohim, we shall teach our children what we believe, and how to live His commandments and those of Yeshua Ha Mashiach, His son.

(Genesis 18:19) For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YHWH, to do justice and judgment; that the YHWH may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

They shall know how we go in our praising, loving, having a santify life, and everything that we as Messianic Jews believe and love to do everyday, because we love Him, Abba our Father.

(Deuteronomy 6:4-7) Hear, O Israel: YHWH our Elohim is one LORD:And thou shalt love YHWH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

So they will know the only true Elohim and his son Yeshua. They shoul read the Torah everyday specially the Laws of Elohim and how to apply them in their everyday live, and learn as much as possible the life of Yeshua and the meaning of His comming. That teaching will be forever with them. They come from us, and we come from the Creator of heaven and earth.

(John 17:3) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true Elohim , and Yeshua Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

When they know the Torah, they will learn to understand right from wrong. They will know who is the center of their lives and they will live according with Him.

(Proverbs 1:8-9) My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

(1Timothy 3:4) One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity

How to discipline our children?

Correction is something good for the child if done with love no provoking his or her to wrath. Children need a leader, somebody they can follow.Always be carefull not to overdue it ir cause harm fisically or in their bodies. Love your children more than yourself, but remember they are not yours, are Elohim´s sons or daughters.

(Proverbs 13:24) He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him diligently.

(Proverbs 22:6) Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

(Proverbs 22:15) Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

(Proverbs 23:13-14) Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

(Proverbs 29:15-17) : The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Naturally we should remember to be gentil, caring and loving with them. If are angry we should step outside and calm before talking to our children.

(Ephesians 6:4) And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Daily Torah - Bible Verses

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

In these pages you will find how you and us as Messianic Jews- Nazarene following the whole Torah applying it to real life and live a successful and meaningful existence as observants of Torah, answering all our questions through it and through Yeshua the Messiah.

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
