The Feasts of Elohim (God)

Prayer

Lev. 23:2,4,37,44; Ge. 22:8; Ex.12&23;Nu.28-29;Deu 16

Solemn Appointed Times with the Lord. Lev. 23:4.The Hebrew word translated "Feasts" means Appointed Times. These feasts are also in Scripture called "Holy Convocations"; that is, they are intended to be times of meeting between Elohim (God) and man for "Holy Purposes" (includes the Shabbat).

According to De.16:16 Elohim commands that we keep His Feasts and appear before the Lord with thanksgiving. Celebration of the feasts today, are a combination of celebratory commemorations of God's providence fulfilled in the past, and the continued fulfillment of His covenant promises for the future.

The feasts are literally YHWH's calendar of redeeming grace, and they are celebrated every year from March/April (Nisan month in the Jeish Calendar) to the next March/April.These feasts are key waypoints on a roadmap in holy history. They tell the story of the main Covenant events between Elohim and His Elect people as they occur here on the earth and down through time. The first four of the Seven Feasts of the Lord have already been fulfilled. The three spring feasts were fulfilled by Yeshua Ha Mashiach. And the summer Feast of Pentecost was fulfilled as well. (see the chart below)

Prayer

Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of YHVH in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of YHVH, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons

Lev 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is YHVH's passover.

It commemorates the Exodus begining at the evening of Aviv (Nisan) 14, remembering when Elohim passed over Egypt killing the firstborn of each household and sparing the lifes of the Israelites. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto YHVH. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto YHVH.

FALL FEASTS

5. The Feast of Trumpets - Seventh Month: Tishri (September) Unfulfilled ....(as of yet).
Yom Teruah (day of blasts)is known as the Feast of Trumpets. It is the first day of a ten day period before Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) the holiest day of the year. In Judaism is known as Rosh Hashannah (new year), but this day falls on the first day of Tishri, which is the seven month of YHWH's Calender, not the first, which is on Aviv (also know as Nisan) when Pesakh (Passover) occurs.

An epic event will unfold on the new moon of Tishrei on the future : the Rapture, the day of the Coming of the Lord Yeshua..

Lev 23:23-25 And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH.

6. The Day of Atonement- Seventh Month: Tishri (September) Unfulfilled ....(as of yet).
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the Jewish year. It brings a prophetic insight into the Second Coming of Mashiach, the restoration of Israel, and the final judgment of the world.

1.Tishrei 10 seven years beyond that epic future Feast of Trumpets.
2.This will be the final Day of Reckoning, for that year, for the Jubilee, and for the age.
3.The Jewish nation and "all Israel" will be saved! - Zech.12:8-13:1, Rom. 11

Lev 23:26-28 And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before YHVH your Elohim.
Lev 23:29-30 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
Lev 23:31-32 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

The high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance," (Hebrews 9:7). Mashiach, however, entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption,". Yeshua took our iniquities to Sheol. (Revelation 1:18.)

Most of Yom Kippur is spent at the synagogue praying and listening to chants to demonstrate your repentance and make amends, fasting and praying all day it is traditional required. The repentance started at Yom Teruah comes to a culmination with atonement ten days later. There are traditional readings from the book of Jonah, Hosea 14 and other pertinent passages.

Wearing white clothing, for men a Kittel, is traditional to symbolize one’s purity on this day. They also wear a tallit (prayer shawl), which is typically worn on Shabbat and other holidays during morning services.

Leviticus 16:29 mandates establishment of this holy day on the 10th day of the 7th month as the day of atonement for sins. It calls it the Sabbath of Sabbaths and a day upon which one must afflict one's soul.

Leviticus 23:27 decrees that Yom Kippur is a strict day of rest.

Five additional prohibitions are traditionally observed, as detailed in the Jewish oral tradition (Mishnah tractate Yoma 8:1):

No eating and drinking
No wearing of leather shoes
No bathing or washing
No anointing oneself with perfumes or lotions
No marital relations

7. The Feast of Tabernacles- Seventh Month: Tishri Unfulfilled ....(as of yet).
This was the time Yeshua was born.
Tishrei 15 will come five days after that final epic Day of Atonement.
This will mark the coming of Messiah to tabernacle with His covenant people.
Thus begins the long awaited 1000 year Millennium of Messiah.

Lev 23:33-36 And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto YHVH. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
Lev 23:37-39 These are the feasts of YHVH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto YHVH, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day: Beside the sabbaths of YHVH, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto YHVH. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto YHVH seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
Lev 23:40-41 And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before YHVH your Elohim seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto YHVH seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Lev 23:42-4 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am YHVH your Elohim. And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of YHVH.

Daily Torah - Bible Verses

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

In these pages you will find how you and us as Messianic Jews- Nazarene following the whole Torah applying it to real life and live a successful and meaningful existence as observants of Torah, answering all our questions through it and through Yeshua the Messiah.

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
