How To Get Answers In Prayers

baptism

To be ready to pray we must exercise everyday, that means pray all the time: when we get up, while driving to or from work, while having a coffee break or before getting to sleep. A constant pray should be in our lips at any moment: thanks for the new day, asking for protection for the young girl we saw in the morning, asking for peace between the two drivers that bumped into each other at lunch break, giving thanks for our food while others around the world are experiencing famine, asking for our kids outcome in their midterm exams, or finally thanking Elohim for a wonderful day and a peaceful rest at bedtime. We are always praying.

But to be good prayer partners we must also look at the conditions, motives or actions that our prayers produce. If they are the right ones prayers will be answer, things will change for the better and our relationship with the Lord will grow. Lets see some of this conditions.

OBEDIENCE:

But Elohim be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. (Romans 6:17-18)

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:14-15)

Obedience is the way we manifest our love for Elohim . When we keep his commandments prayer is answered, we are made free from sin and become servants to righteousness.

HUMILITY:

Deep humility is expected from us as we come to a sovereign Elohim . Elohim himself hates pride and arrogance. Humility is to honor Elohim for what He is, for what He can do and for what He means in our lives. Lets step away from our fleshly ambitions and lets come with an open and grateful heart, with a soul ready to feel Elohim ’s presence around us and know and acknowledge that He is the Creator.

FAITH:

The word of Elohim is clear: without faith is not only impossible to please Elohim but also impossible to gain anything from Him. We must have unshaken faith on his love, wisdom and power.

The faith of the believer must increase so greatly that he or she accepts not only the possible but also the impossible. “for with Elohim all things are possible”(Mark 10:27) should be our claim in faith.

SINCERITY:

The New Testament Pharisees made prayer a mockery. Their actions contradict their statements, they were lying to themselves and to Elohim.

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:7-9)

Sincerity is the one of the most important qualities that our prayers should have. Our prayers should come from our hearts ,for a genuine desire to reach to Elohim , with urgency before His Temple let us ask for mercy and for those petitions that will give us comfort and peace.

REPENTANCE:

How many people failed miserable at this stage, repentance seems to be the most difficult step to take. Remember repentance and confession are in the same side. Just come before His throne confessing our sins, turning from them to Elohim , then repentance will follow. We will through ourselves at the mercy of the Lord and ask for forgiveness, not for the sins already confess and cleansed by the blood of Yeshua , but for the ones still in our hearts. Then purity will come from the Holy Spirit and we will be renew, filled for battle again, with a faith of a giant.

FORGIVENESS:

Yeshua was emphatic that the condition of our heart must be right in our communion with Elohim . Our spirit should be forgiven to others before we can expect forgiveness from Him. The Lord was clear in Mark 11:25-26

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11:25-26)

FASTING:

Even though Yeshua emphasized that prayer and fasting together helps our spiritual power:

How be it this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. : (Matthew 17:21) uniting them are not for the purpose of changing Elohim . Fasting are for times of special need, no intended to be a way of life. It’s a attitude that says to Elohim , that nothing is as vital to us like Him.

And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served Elohim with fasting and prayers night and day (Luke 2:37)

PERSISTENCE:

Yeshua explained in Luke 18:1-8 that Elohim hears importunate prayers, those that persists until the answer comes.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not Elohim , neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not Elohim , nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not Elohim avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

IN THE LORDS NAME:

“Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but Elohim is one.” (Galatas 3:21) and “For there is one Elohim , and one mediator between Elohim and men, the man Christ Yeshua ” (1 Timothy 2:5) clearly indicates that only through Yeshua will be able to get to the father. Our answers will come through whom our prayers are focused. There is only one mediator between Elohim and humans and His name is Yeshua . So all prayers should come to Yeshua.

ACCORDANCE WITH ELOHIM S WILL:

The Holy Spirit tells us that when we do things according with Elohim ’s will He grants our petition. When his will becomes our will , there is not conflict between His and ours, and He does what He knows we really desire. In 1 John 5:14-15 we see clearly this truth:

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

If we asked something in accordance to His will, with persistence, humility, forgiveness for others, repentance of our wrongful ways, with faith that everything we asked Him will be done, telling Him through prayer and fastening and in the name of His son Yeshua , our Lord and Savior, that no matter what happens is Him what we need in our lives, the fulfillment of everything we need, then our joy, happiness and peace will be completed, and we will have what we desire: His presence forever in us.

Daily Torah - Bible Verses

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

In these pages you will find how you and us as Messianic Jews- Nazarene following the whole Torah applying it to real life and live a successful and meaningful existence as observants of Torah, answering all our questions through it and through Yeshua the Messiah.

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
