The MIssunderstood Purpose of Angels

There are 273 places in the whole bible where angels are mentioned. The greek word Angelos means messenger. Yeshua talk and teach about them:

But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of Elohim , being the children of the resurrection. (Luke 20:35-36)

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (Mathew 13:39)

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (Matthew 13:49)

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. (Mathew 16:27)

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. (Mathew 18:10)

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Mathew 24:31)

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Mathew 24:36)

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mathew 25:41

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. (Mathew 28:2)

As these verses show us that angels will be the ones present with Yeshua at the end of the ages and will get all the resurrected in Christ, separating the just from the wicked, they do not marry, they take care of children, they help Yeshua during his ministry, and the fallen ones will be through in the everlasting fire.

They are under the power of Yeshua :

Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of Elohim ; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. 1 Peter 3:22

"Praise Him all His angels; Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light! Praise Him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created." Psalm 148:2-5

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colosians 1:16

"In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of Elohim over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

There are 2 kinds of angels: Holy Angels and fallen angels:

For if Elohim spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (Peter II 2:4)

They look very different than us and appear out of nowhere and sometimes they look human and are wise:

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Hebrews 1:14)

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. (Mathew 28:2-4)

"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it." (Mathew 28:2)

"But my lord is wise, like the wisdom of the angel of Elohim , to know all that is in the earth." . (2 Samuel 14:20)

They are very different than us : they eternal, can not witness for salvation and they are in heaven. Also they are powerfull, protect Elohim �s people, bring healing, and carried people to heaven:

"Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!" (Psalms 103:20)

"And I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels...and the number of them was myrieads of myrieads, and thousnads of thousands."(Revelation 5:11)

"And when Peter came to himself, he said, "Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod..." (Acts 12:11)

"My Elohim sent His angel and shut the lions' mouth and they have not harmed me..." (Daniel 6:22)

"And the angel answered and said to him, 'I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of Elohim ; and I have been sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.'" (Luke 1: 35)

How do we apply scripture to real life as Messianic Jews - Nazarene?

Our sole purpose in life is to love and glorify Elohim, read the Torah everyday and follow all it's commandments through the Hebrew roots of our faith

We comply with what our Lord Yeshua said in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" and only then you could be "persuaded in your own mind."

Therefore, "Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holiday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days" (Col 2:16)

Why we use Hebrew names here

Messianic Jews - Nazarene love Elohim and use the original names of the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible in their daily prayers and in their congregations. The words "Jesus" and "Jehova" are not the original names that appear in the Tanakh - Hebrew Bible or the Greek New Testament. They are transliterations that all have use for so many centuries that almost become true. The real names are Yeshua and Elohim. Read More
